Ask the Expert 2025

June 30, 2023
Leah Goss,

Gayle Eskridge
Eskridge Law & Mediation

Gayle Eskridge is an attorney who works full time as an arbitrator and mediator. With more than 30 years’ experience in litigation and 20 years’ experience in mediation and arbitration, Gayle Eskridge applies her skills in the areas of employment, real estate and business law.

What is your experience as a mediator and arbitrator?

I have served as mediator on over 275 cases, and as arbitrator on over 200 cases. I have been a member of the American Arbitration Association’s employment and commercial mediator and arbitrator panels for over 20 years, and have also conducted many mediations and settlement conferences through the Los Angeles and Sacramento Superior Courts.

What do you enjoy about your work?

As a mediator, I find it very rewarding to assist the parties in resolving their cases so they can move on with living their lives and running their businesses. As an arbitrator, I enjoy providing the parties with an alternative to court litigation that is generally faster, more convenient, less stressful, and less expensive, but where they still receive an award which can be enforced the same as a court judgment.

Where do you conduct mediations and arbitrations?

I work all over California, and I never charge for travel time. I live in Rancho Cordova, so I have an office here and a smaller office in Los Angeles. I will conduct mediations and arbitrations in one of my offices, at the offices of the American Arbitration Association, via video conference, or at any other location on which the parties agree. I can be hired directly, or through the American Arbitration Association.

3100 Zinfandel Drive, Rancho Cordova. 916-898-1469.
1801 Century Park East, Los Angeles. 310-303-3951.
